Top 3 Sitcom Couples

A long list of TV shows have presented the realities of love, romance, and commitment with honesty and humor. But only the best shows can give you giggles and relationship goals at the same time. Here are our three current favorite sitcom couples and the reasons we love them.

3. Jane & Brad, Happy Endings (2011-2013) (Eliza Coupe and Damon Wayans Jr.). While Happy Endings sadly ended several years ago, it's still one of our favorite shows of all time. Jane and Brad are the power couple of the friend group at the heart of the show. They can't help but argue openly, compete fiercely, and attempt to manipulate each other at every turn. Yet they also have a hot sex life, have tons of fun together, and constantly work on building a better relationship.

2. Rainbow & Dre, Black-ish (2014-) (Tracee Ellis Ross and Anthony Anderson). Rainbow and Dre are a classic odd couple from different worlds, with wildly divergent approaches to almost every situation they face. They're often trying to prove themselves to be the cooler parent or the wiser soul, while repeatedly failing in the attempts. But they (almost) always end up finding insight into their underlying motivations, a willingness to learn from each other, and a better way forward together.

1. Sheila & Joel, Santa Clarita Diet (2017-) (Drew Barrymore and Timothy Olyphant). Sheila and Joel have been together since they were high school sweethearts, in the kind of relationship that can often be portrayed as resigned and stagnant. Yet this couple is totally in sync, still in love, and as committed as ever. Best of all, when they face the unique challenges brought on by the show's hilariously bizarro premise, they tackle each obstacle as a unified team.
